Once the camera is configured, the capture task is added by default. Click the camera title to expand its tasks. However, you can occasionally or intentionally delete it.

If a "Capture of ..." task does not appear underneath, add the task in the bottom right corner. See the Capture video of a USB or built-in camera article to fix the problem.

There may be several reasons for the ONVIF camera's misconfiguration, which led to its failure. 

If you override the RTSP port:

• Ensure No Conflicts: Make sure the new RTSP port is not already in use by another service or device on your network.

• Update Camera Settings: After overriding the RTSP port in Banalytics VMS, you might also need to adjust any network devices (like routers or firewalls) to allow traffic on the new port.

To ensure that an online network discovery tool is safe for you to use, there are several things you can do:

• Check that Banalytics uses HTTPS encryption to protect your data as transmitted over the internet.

• Review our Privacy Policy. Banalytics does not collect or store information related to your local network devices. All device configurations are stored in the local database installed with the Banalytics VMS.

• Ensure that your computer and network are updated with the latest security patches and updates to prevent known vulnerabilities from being exploited.

• And, of course, use strong login credentials and avoid using the same password for multiple services.
